EXIT TRANCE PRESENTS SPEED アニメトランス BEST 5 review

It’s rare for me to be posting about music, but since it is relevant, I will go ahead and go do a review of this wonderful album. This is the fifth album in the Anime series. Thus it will feature many recognizable songs from pretty recent series.

A small history on how I got into the Exit Trance albums. Not really relevant, but just wanted to tell anyways. I originally got into them via youtube. I was searching remixes of anime OPs and EDs and came across a few remixes from the Exit Trance collections. I went ahead and got them and I fell in love with them ever since. This not only opened a window for new music, but also really got me more into the whole doujin-music scene. I mean, I knew about groups such as IOSYS, Cool&Create and REDALiCE, but was never familiar with stuff outside of Touhou remixes.

This album series does bring great joy to me. Featuring a list of 20 remixed OPs and EDs from various animes such as Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS, Strike Witches, ToLoveRu, Bleach, Fate/Stay Night, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, and a few more.

Like the previous albums, this album is filled with a great choice of songs to be remixed and of course, the album cover is designed quite nicely. Here is the songlist along with the original artist, remix artist and series it came from.

This album is definitely worth picking up and I definitely recommend the other stuff too. I really like the remix of “Lion” and “Tsuzuku Sekai”, but overall a great album. Apparently they are going to sell the Anime Best collection (1-5) as a set in December. So be sure to ask for that during Christmas
