Bleach 388 and Naruto 478
Finally the long wait is over! New Bleach and Naruto chapters are up and wow are they interesting.
Lets start with Bleach.
The title is the first part that caught my attention. Eagle without wings 2, the 2 part is referring to chapter 238 which is right after Orihime left for Hueco Mondo, when Yamamoto ordered the shinigami to return to Soul Society and told Ichigo to not act until he receives orders.
The recent chapter shows Ichigo thinking about how he is going to attack and kill Aizen, just before he breaks into the real world. He then realises that he is right behind Aizen and attacks immediately, however the attack is blocked and Ichigo is surprised. He takes his distance and regrets not using hollowfication when he launched the first attack. Now that the element of surprise is gone, Aizen faces him and so begins their little battle.
Ichigo though is put off by Aizen’s little speech where he questions Ichigo’s reason for attacking and fighting against him. Aizen compares Ichigo to a bird without wings, someone who is fighting out of obligation rather than out of hatred.
However before Ichigo can completely hesitate to keep fighting, the shinigami around him step in and say that they will fight to protect him.
The question which came to mind when I read this chapter was the meaning of the title. If ‘Eagle Without Wings’ refers to Ichigo and if the meaning behind it is really what Aizen means, fighting out of obligation and not out of hatred, then what does this mean about chapter 237? Could that chapter mean that Ichigo was unable to help Orihime from being kidnapped that he resembles an eagle without wings or does it mean that Ichigo felt obligated to save her? This is unclear.
Moving on…
Naruto’s chapter this week expanded on our sudden appearence of Itachi. To be honest, I was suddenly rather excited after seeing Itachi in the last chapter, but after reading this weeks chapter it turns out that it was in fact just one of Sasuke’s illusions. Danzo manages to avoid Sasuke’s attacks and pins him, rendering him unable to move. Tobi/Madara realises that Danzo is actually attempting to conserve his chakra and continues to observe him.
As Danzo takes Sasuke’s sword and lifts it towards Sasuke’s neck, Sasuke activates the Susano’o again, this time however its complete and much more powerful that before. Sasuke fires a shot at Danzo who is unable to dodge, instead he counters it in a shocking way. Danzo uses Mokuton, a wood element Jutsu. It is revealed that Orochimaru had kept in contact with Danzo and had also implanted the Shodai’s cells into him too.
With this Danzo possesses both the powers of Uchia and Hashirama allowing him to be able to control the Kyubi on his own. It is revealed that Danzo is after Naruto too, but what is his objective? Karin however also seems to notice that the Jutsu which Danzo uses in order not to die when he is hit is somehow related to the Sharigan on his arm.
What is the secret behind the Jutsu? Sadly, we have to wait till next week before we find out.
Till next time x
