So yeah…originally I only got the kit, but half way through I decided to get the stand also because…without it, I’d have no idea what to do with it. Also, After completion of assembly, I have not tried to transform it into its Gerwalk or Battroid form. Why? because this kit…is so fragile that I’m afraid if I were to even try to attempt a transformation that it’d explode into a million pieces on me…

I don’t have any pictures of my building process, but I will explain my troubles. Originally I was planning to get some clear sealant that would not eat at the plastic so that I can use water-slide decals and then seal it to prevent damage. In the end, I just used the stickers until I can get the tools such as paint and all. I started off by doing panel lining on the wings (while they were still on the tree) using a sharpie and then using an eraser to erase the excess. My eraser was already | | big (actual size by the way…) and after painfully completing the two wings in 2-3 hours my eraser was | | big. Again, if I had materials, I would of done the washing effect… After that the assembly portion came naturally…except for a few areas. There are times where I was just completely lost or reversed a part accidentally. Luckily, I’m pretty skillful at taking apart pieces without destroying them (I’ve had my fair share of those when I tried to remove the armor off my FAZZ (Full Armored ZZ). The decals are also a pain in the ass to apply. There is very little room for errors. If it is offset, it most likely will be a bitch to fix. The decals that are applied onto the stabilizers on the back are real shit…and would probably look a lot better paining…Also, what sucks is that the super parts are not applied/added on to the base VF, but rather they become a part of it. I don’t know if you were to get the Super Parts and a regular VF if it would be similar, but it kind of disappointed me since I wanted to be able to have the base VF then add the super parts when I want to. Oh well, its just a minor setback.

With the completion of the kit, I must say its quite beautifully made. All the parts were designed quite nicely and one will be sure to rage over panel lining. The kit came with both sticker and water-slide decals, so that was nice. Let’s not forget the silver foil stickers that everyone oh-so-loves. The legs caused quite a bit of rage since they tend to slide out of place or something… I don’t know if I’m just stupid or I screwed up somewhere (which I guess would also go along with me being stupid…). I still have a bunch of decals to apply and panel linings to do (after I get a new eraser >.>) For anyone who were considering getting a Valkyrie kit…Unless you have experience with building plamo such as gunpla (actually gunpla is quite helpful), don’t do it. It isn’t hard to just snap pieces together, but even I was overwhelmed by this kit. Maybe one day I’ll rebuild this kit when I have the essential tools, cause this kit really is nice, but without any painting or work on it, it is just meh… Oh well, here are some pictures of a semi-complete VG-25F. Also for the stand, I changed the SMS label a bit to say Strategic Miracle Service. Originally I had it as Speed Miracle Service, but I changed it at the request of a friend. The presets were either Strategic Military Service or Speed Miracle Spacy. Take your pick at Engrish.

I would get pictures of it in Gerwalk and Battroid…but…I’m afraid of breaking it. Give me a week or two when I decide to add the other decals and panel lines in, then I’ll have to transform it. I must say, this album is quite nice like all the other Exit Trance albums I’ve shown so far. It really is a must have for anime fans. For me, some of these songs bring back a lot of memories. Especially listening to “Last Impression”, I remembered the days of my childhood when I was still just a Gundam Fan-novice and thought Gundam Wing was the coolest thing to have came out since sliced bread. Some more memorable songs such as Utada’s “Beautiful World” being mixed was also nice. The original itself became an insta-favorite for me and the Exit Trance version just makes it even better. Nothing too out there to distort the song. They also mixed “Thanatos-If I Can’t Be Yours-”, but in my opinion, I would of loved for them to mixed “Come, Sweet Death” or something, but its all good since Thanatos is a good song. So aside from Evangelion, Gundam Wing and Kara no Kyoukai, they have songs from Clannad, Shakugan no Shana, Gurren Lagann, and Macross along with others.

I highly recommend people add this to their list of Exit Trance albums if they have one going. If not, go get them. I’m sure they will make a second album later on with more songs. If anything, the album cover is quite nice too.

That takes care of that. There are some other albums, such as CM2, Ecstasy Second Season and all that, but I’m not up to posting about those for various reasons. One being that I lack the album cover and two because they don’t interest me as much, but who knows. I may post about them within the next few days if I find that I have time and actually listen to them.

In other news, I’ll be trying to post about anime sometimes soon, but mostly expect everything else aside from anime. I don’t know what happened to everyone else, but then again, I can’t really hold myself when it comes to posting. Many apologies for the lack of posting. I do have a plan on posting within the coming month, so here’s a quick rundown.

I think I’ll be starting my Valkyrie kit very soon. I just need to pick up some supplies, such as decal setting solutions, tweezers, design knife, cutting mat, sandpaper (both dry and wet), gundam markers…maybe and some kind of clear sealant that won’t eat at the plastic to seal my decals

Short posts FTW!!! — I will do something more meaning full when my exams are over, 16th June is my last one

Friday – Day 1
Sadly, I still had classes that day, so I didn’t skip school just for the sake of going to the con. I got down at around 4 or so and just headed straight for the dealer’s room to look around. Did not pick up anything though. Quite sad, since I couldn’t find what I wanted after, but it’s all good. Managed to stay late and watched the AMV Contest, but I watched the Anime Unscripted thing before that (which is essentially Whose Line is it Anyway? but with the voice actors/actresses. It was quite funny and entertaining to watch. Now, on to my ramble about the AMV finalist.

I am very, very disappointed with most of the finalist. Now I do give my regards for people trying at least, but some of the AMVs were very very bad in my opinion. Action was quite lacking and in comparison to last year’s AMVs most of the categories felt like they were lacking. I must say though, the ones who were on my list of decent to good AMVs were quite well. Comedy and Upbeat/Other were the two categories I really struggled with on choosing who to vote for. The pre-show for the AMV Contest was quite silly too. The major thing I should cover is Monty Oum showing his incomplete version of Dead Fantasy III and a pretty decent size trailer of Dead Fantasy IV. I won’t spoil much, but I will say this. It…was…so…good…I like…almost cried manly tears at its sheer awesome. Despite it being incomplete and me being somewhat unsatisfied with it being so, I still give a lot of props to Monty for even doing this in the first place. Being a busy man and trying to meet and exceed both ours and his expectations, he really has done well. I will look forward to the final product in July, which I may post about. After everything was over, I headed home with a few people.

Saturday – Day 2
Saturday, I didn’t really do much. For the most part, I did some mild shopping, but mostly just walked around with people, so there’s not much to post here. Friends wanted to leave after the rave, which ended at 2am. The rave itself was alright. In my opinion the music was okay. Then again, I’m very picky when it comes to these things. I felt like a lot of the stuff near the end was just random bass. It was nice that there was a remix of Tank from Cowboy Bebop, but the bass that they threw in was, to me, really random and not well executed. Then again, by this time, most people are already mentally gone and ready to pass out.

Oh, before I forget. I went to the Kalafina concert, which was amazing. Berklee’s Video Game Orchestra opened for Kalafina, playing many famous pieces from games such as Final Fantasy VII battle theme, Metal Gear Solid theme w/ Snake Eater (which was so good that I almost teared), Halo theme and a Surf-Rock version of the Chocobo theme along with many other game songs. They also played two pieces by Yuki Kajiura. They were Himeboshi (which is a very beautiful piece in my opinion and one of my favorite Mai-HiME songs) and Song of Storm and Fire (which was good too, but i have never seen Tsubasa Chronicles, so sad.) After all this was over, Kalafina came on stage and performed. Starting with oblivious and moving on to some other song. I was really sad and confused to see that it was only three members and I was going crazy, but then realized that Maya was announced that she would not be with Kalafina as of May of this year. I was happy that they showed clips of Kuroshitsuji and Kara no Kyoukai when they performed the related songs for them (or well, they showed KnK clips when Sprinter was performed). The performance was amazing despite the lack of the 4th member. I’m quite sad that I didn’t get any autographs and the fact that not as many people knew about Kalafina as much as the pillows from last year *sad face*.

Sunday – Day 3
With much great sorrow, the last day of the con arrived. Getting down there fairly late, I managed to get my shopping done (surprisingly pretty well too) and wandered around some more. Day went by really quickly. Managed to see the closing ceremony, which was good and bad. Good in the sense that I got to see the winning AMVs (which at the same time disappointed me), got to see Dead Fantasy III stuff again, and also managed to see Yuki Kajiura and Kalafina appear again (along with the rest of the guests that I don’t really care for.) With closing ceremony over, the convention center was cleared and everyone went their separate ways. Went to dinner with a small (well still pretty large…) portion of my group and then went home. Carrying my winning loot from the con. Until next year.
