The Baka and Test — Summon the Beasts anime, premiered in Japan on January 6. The story centers around Akihisa Yoshii. His magical academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats. Akihisa decides to rally F class to take on the higher-tiered classes and seize their perks. The F class uses its summoning powers in an all-out battle for school supremacy.

The Dance In The Vampire Bund anime adapts Nozomu Tamaki’s manga about a vampire princess who wants to create a special district for her kind off the coast of Japan, despite the terrorists and rival factions arrayed against her. Seven Seas Entertainment released the fifth volume of the manga in North America in November. The anime premiered in Japan on January 7, and Funimation’s simulcast of the latest episodes will begin on March 12.

Well at a cross road is what. I am yet again going to go on a writer recruitment drive, more details ASAP and on the Write for O-C page. I personally am going to try and keep up with anime news and things related such as figures and am currently looking into ways to blog by using they weird email setting I see in the settings. Also I may use the site as a Japanese learning journal, going over what we study in class etc, along with sentences and the like.

But we’re not dead, not yet so put the stick away.

Shokotan ☆ Cover 3 ~anime song wa jinrui wo tsunagu~, as the album is called, is her third CD with anime songs covers and sucessor of the one released in September 2007. It will feature twelve songs, with covers of famous themes of many popular animes, such as “Dragon Ball Z”, “Neon Genesis Evangelion” and “Macross FRONTIER”.

The CD+DVD version will have eight additional songs in the main CD, all recorded in short versions to match with how the animes use the songs in the episodes. As for the DVD, it will feature the music video of Yuzurenai negai, which was originally sung by Naomi Tamura and used as the theme of the famous anime “Magic Knight Rayearth”.

This will be Kitano’s first action movie since his 2003 film “Zatoichi,” and the first time Miura, Shiina and other members of the all-star cast have joined a Kitano production. The director praised their performance, saying, “The acting skills of professionals at this level is really amazing.”

“This is a really feel-good movie,” explained Shiina. “It’s like having an expert masseuse give you a really long foot massage.” The film will be released in theaters June 12.

This season looks to be a busy and exciting one, I’m looking forward to Gundam Unicorn, the Three Kingdoms SD Gundam show, the new Ikkitousen and many more.
