Time to take a gander back to January and see how well we performed this month and how my site based resolutions are coming along.

But before that let us look at the changes I have made in order to better provide you with the latest in news. Firstly I re-arranged the categories which judging by the huge drop in bounce rate, down from 83% to a little of 72% has been a huge success and in another effort to make related content easier to find, I added the link within plugin which creates thumbnails at the end of a post, which again appears to have been a success.

The homepage itself has seen a number of changes, firstly I removed the featured section mainly due to the fact I wasn’t using it and secondly as the scrolling section stopped scrolling =( however I then decided to make the recent post image a lot bigger and make the older homepage posts images bigger, making them easier to see and finally I moved the social network button to the top which I see a few of you have found useful and thank you very much for the facebook and youtube adds =D

Unfortunately my old plugin Statpress Reloaded self destructed on the 21st so I had to install a new plugin so I may have lost some hits but hey what happens happens and either way I am glad to announce that January saw us breach the 1000 unique visitors on a number of days, now to make it consistent =D

So before the death of Statpress we had 10,000 unique hits and 80,000 page views we then recorded another 17,031 unique and 35676 with Wassup a far prettier plugin to look at. Meaning our totals are 27,031 Unique hits and 115,676 page views a massive increase which I must thank you all for making possible.

So what comes next?? Well I plan to continue to grow the site, with the obvious new target of 2k unique readers with about 4-6k pageviews daily. This will come in the form of my promised unique content something I am still brain storming but should live very soon. I’d also like to get a sponsor on board to try and offer you guys some special offers as well as maybe even getting a custom and truly unique layout.
