JUST TUNE – Savage Genius

Submitted by Asch on January 11, 2009 – 2:15 pm5 Comments

I’ve always had a soft spot for Savage Genius, ever since I played their OP theme song for Erementar Gerad (in Stepmania), Forever. I thought they would just turn out to be a one hit wonder, but boy was I wrong! Their latest song, JUST TUNE from the Yozakura Quartet anime is really addictive. It’s one of my favorite OP theme songs from the past anime season. I think I’m gonna check the anime out simply as the opening is so awesome.

    Unfortunately, the show betrays both its manga and its OP song. Good song, mediocre show.

    For what it’s worth, I also like savage genius’s songs from Utakata and Simoun. Check those out if you haven’t :)

    Anime was average and just decent, nothing much. JUST TUNE was pretty fine indeed but I felt the ED was still better.

    @lolikitsune

    Which is the one from Simoun, the Utakata one was awesome aswell often being blasted on my iPod.

    @Panther

    The ED is indeed good, I will cover it in a future post, I would say it is just slightly better than the opening.

    They did “Inori no Uta,” the ED of Simoun. My personal favorite of theirs, actually.

    Yeah I know of that one, that’s a really good one as well, I could do with getting the full version.
